YOUTH WORKERS TRAINING DAY AT WHETSTONE BAPTIST CHURCH
I had a great day with the youth team at Whetstone Baptist Church as we got to know gen z and gen Alpha and explored how we can build relationships with them. After lunch we did a whistle stop tour of young people and mental health, additional needs and managing behaviour. A privilege to train such a dedicated group of people.
ABUNDANT LIFE
Rushden Academy have become the first Abundant Life franchise in Northamptonshire and first outside of Grace Foundation, to take up all 5 courses. I trained their Pastoral Team and volunteers from the local church. Courses have started being delivered with students in the school and they are already having an impact.
NEW MEDIA
We are in the process of having 7 new videos created to bring our Abundant Life courses right up to date. Two spoken word pieces have been commissioned, three animations created and two vox pops filmed. The amazing thing about these videos is that they have been created by young people. The voice overs for the animations are in the can and the vox pops have been recorded with the help of the amazing young people at our church Hope Community Church. All of this will be ready to go in September.
As we come to the end of one academic year and look forward to a new one, there are lots of new opportunities for Reality. As well as lots of opportunities to work with old friends and new partners, I am also having significant conversations with national organisations and charities about the importance of working with young people in schools, sharing the good news of Jesus in word and deed and seeing real transformation. Please pray for me as I have those conversations over the summer and into next term.
