Urban Saints Energise
“I have been involved for a number of years with Urban Saints. Initially I was involved in a project called “redefined”, running mission weekends by young people, for young people, as we took to the streets of Leicester to demonstrate God’s love and power. On the back of these missions, a number of young people from Leicester were part of Urban Saints’ Gideon’s Army at the National Day of Prayer at Wembley stadium and together we hosted 3 weekend conferences on the themes of Unity, Prayer and Transformation. During this time I was really embraced by the Urban Saint’s family and was regularly asked to attend conferences and away days. It was at one of these conferences that I first met Peter and was introduced to the wonderful world of energise, that I immediately got my home church signed up for. Fast forward a couple of years and I was delighted to be asked to write some resources on “HOT TOPICS” for energise. I am passionate about seeing young people reached with the gospel and discipled in their faith. I am also equally passionate about inspiring, equipping and resourcing leaders to be the best that they can be. I am looking forward to working with the team over the next few years as we look to make enegise even better than it already is!” Matt Brown
“We have had the pleasure of partnering with Matt Brown at the Reality Youth Project for many years in a diverse range of projects. When we started to think about who could help us update the training and discipleship resources on our Energize website, Matt was at the top of our list. Matt understands the challenges faced by volunteers who have big hearts for young people but may have limited experience of some of the issues that members of their groups face. He is helping us develop bite-size resources on ‘hot topics’ such as loss, resilience and anxiety and we look forward to continuing to work together in developing additional resources to help leaders disciple young people. Matt is the real deal – engaging, knowledgeable and authentic – and we are praying that the Reality Youth Project will be a blessing to many other individuals and organisations.
