We will begin by getting to know each other, our different contexts and where Coach Mentoring fits in the Fresh Expressions Journey. We will spend some time looking at the differences between coaching and mentoring, think about people in our lives who have mentored us and consider some of the principles of good mentoring.
Session One
Mentoring and Me
Session Two
Time to Live
In order to effectively mentor others we need to be in a place where we are living as passionate disciples of Jesus. This session will help us to reflect on our own discipleship and we will start to look at some tools of the trade that can help us in our mentoring with others.
Session Three
Time to Grow
We will continue to look at some of the tools that we could use in our mentoring. We will look at three models, that we could employ, either intentionally or discreetly, to help those who we are seeking to mentor.
Session Four
Time to Shine
This final session will look back over our learning together and begin to think about some of the practicalities of where mentoring fits into our context. We will also discuss what we need to do to start the mentoring process, both individually and collectively.
Testimonials
“I have recently undertaken 6 sessions course led by Matt Brown from Reality Youth Project and would like to share with you how good this training is.
Matt helped us unpack the differences between coaching and mentoring, talked us through various mentoring and coaching skills and tools, offered fun activities to help understand the concepts better and provided opportunities for us to apply and practice the newly acquired skills in the safe training environment, giving us valuable feedback and encouragement.
Matt’s fun approach made the whole experience very enjoyable and I highly commend this training to your organisation.”

“The coach mentor programme has given me the confidence and skill set to support others on their path to sharing Jesus with others. It has also helped me in making some large decisions within my own work.”
